Jalapeno Soup


1/2 pound butter

1 cup sugar

4 eggs

1 can (4 oz) chopped green chiles

1 can (16.5 oz) cream style corn

4 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 cup grated Monterey Jack cheese

1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup flour

1 cup yellow cornmeal

Preheat oven to 350.
 

Mix all ingredients together, and place in an oiled 9 x 11 glass pan.  Or, if you wish, make muffins, and serve with Margarita jam (recipe included).
 

Reduce heat to 300 and bake for one hour or until lightly browned.
