The event starts on Wednesday with 12 select players, selectively chosen by "the closed committee" - the committee consisted of Steve Johnston, Rory Kelley and Ren Kraft. The event starts with an evening of cocktails and dinner at Rory and Cynthia's home. Play starts the next day with three days of a double round robin of mixed doubles. You will play with each person as a partner against variety of opposing teams. The Best 8 records advance to a singles playoff event starting Friday afternoon and concluding Saturday afternoon.
The Kraft court is at the home of the Arizona Croquet Club located at 6022 N. 64th Place, Paradise Valley (McDonald & Invergordon).
Use McDonald drive or Invergordon. Some come and stay all week. Here is a map to the Kraft court map.
Welcome! - you have been selected by the committee (Rory Kelley, Ren Kraft and Steve Johnston) [and now ??].
See Kraft for a schedule of games.
Never made available - was it laziness or some dislike of Garth's rag [National Croquet Calendar went under shortly thereafter] ?
The trophy is a Kokepelli dancer playing croquet. (They look really cool!)
[except that Trophies were no longer awarded after awhile ... I never got one]
