Overview:

The US Open croquet tournament is an annual event hosted by the American Croquet Association (ACA).  The ACA was founded by Stan Patmor to provide representation for American players in Association Croquet (before the United States Croquet Association took any interest in Association croquet for  its membership).   Association Croquet is the foundation of international play and its member countries include Ireland, Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, South Africa, Spain, Germany, France, Austria, Japan, the United States of America and other developing countries.

The US Open tournament is currently hosted at the Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California, held annually during the first week of December.  Tournament rules follow the Laws of Association Croquet for Advanced rules.  The US Open is  a competitive event with players joining us from around the country for our December beautiful weather.   In recent years, play has been reduced to 2 flights of play.  Last year it was reduced to Championship only play.  This year Doug has kept it to Championship play only with a full number of entrys at 24.
